It might help admins to delete pages better (or others to fix the articles / contest their deletion) if this template included a category. <includeonly>[[Category:Articles for deletion]]</includeonly>, for example. I'd add it myself, but for some reason it's been made admin-only.Arrogance (talk) 04:04, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

No. Lots of pages can potentially link to a template without using it, or needing to be deleted. It also makes it easier to parse with tools. Arrogance (talk) 06:03, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

Special:WhatLinksHere and Special:PageHistory should be linked to.

An admin should edit the text, which appears twice in the template, from: "Make sure no other pages link here and check the page's history before deleting."

to: "Make sure [[Special:WhatLinksHere/{{FULLPAGENAME}}|no other pages link here]] and check [[Special:PageHistory/{{FULLPAGENAME}}|the page's history]] before deleting."

Renders as: "Make sure no other pages link here and check the page's history before deleting."
