:I agree. I renamed the section title. Would be nice if it was enabled by default everywhere; I am still seeing cases where having dualstack turned on by default causes issues, amazingly, in 2023... One of my dumbass ISPs, Optimum (Altice), still doesn't have IPv6, which is insane. | |||

The page used to say:
To set the system hostname, do something like the following: echo "hostname.domain.com" > /etc/hostname
However, setup-hostname only accepts short-form hostnames (without .domain.com
). Which is it?

- I agree. I renamed the section title. Would be nice if it was enabled by default everywhere; I am still seeing cases where having dualstack turned on by default causes issues, amazingly, in 2023... One of my dumbass ISPs, Optimum (Altice), still doesn't have IPv6, which is insane.
