In keeping the comparison between distros up to date, the non-systemd variant (or fork) Devuan might be a good point of reference. What seems as a legacy in Debian now, in Devuan much of it continues to be alive. (Someone with sufficient insight in runlevels might also be able to edit the paragraph text accordingly.) 09:01, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
