Count the entries
Print the number of packages

Newer releases

Grab APKINDEX.tar.gz (e.g. http://nl.alpinelinux.org/alpine/v2.4/main/x86/APKINDEX.tar.gz)
Count the lines which starts with P: (e.g. P:libxinerama-dev, P:postfix) in APKINDEX
Perhaps separate packages (-dev, -doc, -lang)
Print the data
