Template Documentation for Obsolete

This page is a template and should only be used as part of other articles. For more information, read Help:Template.

Please do not experiment with this template; you could ruin all pages using this template. If you want to edit this template, copy the text to Template:Sandbox, edit and test it there, and copy it back when it works.

Feel free to voice your opinion regarding this template.

This template should be used for obsolete pages or out-of-date content. It helps us keep track of what documents need to be updated or deleted.

Usage

This template should be added at the beginning of articles or sections containing obsolete information. You can cite specific concerns in the first argument and/or in the article's discussion page.

{{Obsolete|reason}}

You can override the default discussion page with a second argument:

{{Obsolete|reason|Talk:Alternative Page}}

Flagged pages can be found in Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Obsolete. If knowledgeable in a subject, users are encouraged to participate to update the article. The {{Obsolete}} flag should be removed after information is updated or corrected.
