Disabling screensaver and/or DPMS?

Is there any particular reason to disable the screensaver and/or DPMS? It would seem to me that the risk of image retention on an idle kiosk is quite high... Not to mention the wasted power. Between X's XSS extension and the dbus interface provided by xscreensaver-systemd, there's not much reason for the screensaver to kick-in inappropriately. zcrayfish (talk • contribs) 10:13, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
