:You are absolutely right, 777 is a massive security risk... Additionally some software checks permissions before running and will bail out if it notices 777. I edited the page to remove the 777.

Don't think 777 is necessary or should be recommended. If 700 doesn't work we could change 777 > 755.

You are absolutely right, 777 is a massive security risk... Additionally some software checks permissions before running and will bail out if it notices 777. I edited the page to remove the 777.
