Alpine Linux as-of version v3.17 requires an i686-compatible CPU supporting the CMOV, MMX, SSE, and SSE2 instructions... Most CPUs made since 2004 should support these instructions except early model AMD Semprons using Socket 462, AMD Geode, Intel Quark, VIA C3, VIA Eden ESP and VIA Eden-N.&lt;br /&gt;

Alpine Linux 3.16.9 and older does not have the SSE2 requirement.&lt;br /&gt;
