When I tried to run startx, xinit would abort due to plentiful lacking permissions, I fixed it by usermod-ing my user into the video and input groups.<br /> <br /> I want to add that I am running Alpine in a VM and this could be a specific problem relating to that, but if not I would suggest changing {{cmd|# adduser myname}}<br /> <br /> to this:<br /> {{cmd|# useradd -m -G wheel,video,input myname}}<br /> <br /> I did not get it to work by just using the adduser command due to unfamiliarity, if anyone wants to change my command to correctly using adduser I will not cry.
